Advanced Educational Practice (Leadership and Management)

This programme enables you to develop your leadership and management capabilities; develop your understanding of relevant theory, research and practice; enhance your ability to contribute to organisational effectiveness. It has strong links with schools, colleges, local authorities and other universities, ensuring our curriculum and approach to professional development are relevant to the current professional needs. Entry requirements

You will need an Honours degree (minimum 2.2) or a Certificate in Education (gained prior to graduate entry into teaching); a Certificate in Education (post 16), with appropriate professional experience. If your first language is not English, you will also need an IELTS score of 6.5 (minimum of Level 6 in reading and writing).

Course modules

Year 1: professional development for leadership; leadership and management in education. Year 2: managing change and improving practice.
