International Events Management
The international scope of the events industry is continuously expanding. It has moved beyond geographical and cultural boundaries, presenting events professionals with opportunities and challenges. As a result, there is a strong demand for innovative professionals who can meet the requirements and demands of the evolving international events arena. This course is suitable for you if you are interested in working as an events manager or are already working in the industry and want to enhance your knowledge of events management in an international context. The programme is delivered by staff with practical and academic expertise, using a variety of learning approaches, including: lectures, seminars, workshops, guest speakers in task-oriented activities, group discussion and group work. The group work uses materials presented via: Blackboard (LJMU's virtual learning environment); lectures; event site visits. In addition, LJMU's links with EventStart mean that you can engage with the wider events community through volunteering and paid work opportunities, securing a broad range of employment-related skills and insights into the events industry.
You will need a first class or upper second Honours degree. Practical applied experience in events management is not essential. International students should also have IELTS English language at a minimum of 6.5 or equivalent.
