This programme will equip you with advanced skills in the theory, practice, tools and applications necessary for the design, management and deployment of computing systems based on contemporary software technologies and a critical understanding of architectures, frameworks and strategies for building software computer systems. It will also provide you with a strong foundation from which you can develop and maintain effective software systems and adapt to future software development technologies.
Applicants should normally hold an Honours degree in computing or a computing-related subject, including subjects with a significant core of computing, or professional qualifications with equivalent standing. Non-UK applicants will be expected to have demonstrated competence in English language equivalent to a minimum of IELTS 6.0. Applicants who have studied and successfully achieved a UK degree within 24 months of the start of the course are exempt from this requirement
Core modules: Research methods; software engineering concepts; usability engineering; software engineering development workshop; real-time systems; project. Option modules may include: Advanced data structures and algorithms; advanced topics in computer science; information and social networks; computation theory; computer security; computer forensics; network forensics; computer networks; database design and technology; computer systems technology; management of e-business.
