London College of Communication, University of the Arts London
The course gives you the chance to develop a personal practice that understands animation, in multiple forms, address multiple situations and help you develop innovative approaches driven by critical understanding and experimental production.
We look to recruit applicants with a broad range of backgrounds and experience from around the world. At application stage, we are as excited to see a portfolio of strong image making that has a sense of sequential play, as we are to see an accomplished portfolio of animation work. All classes are conducted in English. If English is not your 1st language you will be asked to provide evidence of your English language ability when you enrol.
Term 1: Animation practice and process (3-dimensional and 2-dimensional); design for animation, narrative structures and film language. Terms 2 and 3: Experimental critical practice and research; collaborative unit (term 2 only). Term 4: Final major project and thesis.
