Fashion Media Production
This course bridges a gap between primary disciplines such as journalism and photography as well as encompassing digital and new media practices to encourage reflective practice, fresh responses and innovative solutions within Fashion Media Production; students work with a repertoire of communicative and interpretive tools including text, image, sound, film and digital technology to question industry conventions, processes and practices.
An Honours degree at 2.1 or above in a related discipline, such as photography, journalism, media or fashion; applicants with a degree in another subject may be considered, depending on the strength of the application; or equivalent qualifications; or relevant and quantitative experience in any of the following industries: fashion; photography; styling; art; design; television; set design; web design; computer programming; media production; architecture; visual communications; journalism; film making; interview; portfolio; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in any 1 skill.
Modules include: Fashion media laboratory; research methodologies; digital concept and strategy; collaborative unit; Master's project.
Assessment is through major project/dissertation.
