One Health (Infectious Diseases)

This programme aims to provide a comprehensive foundation on the principles of diseases in the context of sociological systems, global health and food safety as well as providing skills in relation to one health methodologies, transdisciplinary interactions and in using a systems approach.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have (or expect to receive) a 1st or upper 2nd Class university Honours degree; applications are invited from with degrees in medicine, veterinary medicine, biological sciences, animal sciences, social sciences, statistics and economics.

Course modules

Modules include: integrating one health; fundamentals of infectious diseases; disease emergence; one health surveillance and outbreak investigation; disease control in developing countries; one health economics; ecological epidemiology; social drivers of disease.

Assessment methods

Assessment by project and examinations.
