Advanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Practice for the Treatment of Anxiety and Depression
The course provides you with the theory and practical skills to help people suffering from mild to moderate anxiety and depression using the tools and techniques of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) at Step 3 of the Stepped Care Model. The programme consists of 3 modules which will make a significant contribution to your accreditation as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). You will have an opportunity to take part in a question-and-answer session, and one to two online group sessions where you'll be able to discuss some client issues common to the whole group. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a master clinician. You will study over 10 weekends in the year (once a month), so the course can work around existing work commitments.
A UK bachelors degree (2.1 or above) normally in a related field and a professional qualification such as nurse, counselling psychologist, clinical psychologist, occupational therapist, doctor, or social worker. Psychological Well-Being Practitioners (PWPs) are welcome to apply.
