The course is part-time and designed to fit around professional working life; the degree is project-centred, giving students the chance to carry out a creative, practice-based or academic project in creative writing; if accepted on to the course, students conduct a project over 2 years, under supervision, as well produce a dissertation in the 2nd year on a related theme.
Typical applicants are working full or part-time in the creative arts, communication and cultural industries, with a good first degree in the arts, humanities or social sciences, or equivalent professional experience. For example, a Bachelor degree equivalent to UK 2nd Class Honours Lower Division. Applicants should have a strong interest in developing an arts or media project. You should submit a project proposal for review which will be assessed in addition to other entry requirements.
Modules include: Project proposal; project research and development; project production; project evaluation.
Assessment is by a research project and a dissertation of 12000-15000 words.
