Critical Arts Management
The course is part-time and designed to fit around professional working life; the degree is project-centred, giving students the chance to carry out a creative, practice-based or academic project in critical arts management; if accepted on to the course, students conduct a project over 2 years, under supervision, as well produce a dissertation in the 2nd year on a related theme.
A 1st degree in the arts, humanities or social sciences, or equivalent professional experience; typical applicants are working full or part-time in the creative arts, communication and cultural industries.
Modules include: Project proposal; project research and development; project production; project evaluation; dissertation.
Assessment is based on project proposal of 2,500 words; a research report in the form of 1,500-2,500 words; a project evaluation in the form of a 2,500 word report; a dissertation of 12-15,000 words.
