International Tourism and Hospitality Management
This course encourages an entrepreneurial approach to examining growth opportunities in tourism and hospitality businesses and destinations; it addresses the needs of both the commercial and non-commercial elements of the sector, the latter often requiring public/private partnership forms of governance; the course develops the appropriate skills, tools and knowledge to operate innovatively in the global tourism and hospitality environments.
2.2 first degree/Bachelor degree equivalent to UK second Class Honours lower division in a relevant discipline or substantial professional experience. Relevant professional experience will also be considered.
Modules include: Critical issues in tourism and hospitality; cross-cultural management; city marketing; business strategy and management; marketing and e-distribution; professional leadership; optional work placement; dissertation or extended management project.
