The MSc HRM course aims to develop the professional capability of human resource management practitioners through developing a range of skills, knowledge and understanding in Leadership and HR Management, including: *people management and development, *business understanding, *professional and ethical behaviour, *analytical and intuitive/creative thinking *continuing learning and development You can choose to study the PgDip as a stand alone qualification or you can choose to complete the full Masters qualification. Both courses are approved by the Chartered Institute of Professional Development (CIPD) and meet the CIPD Advanced Standards. This means on successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma or MSc you'll become an Associate member of the CIPD. In addition the programme provides you with the knowledge to upgrade to either Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow levels of professional membership, providing you meet the respective criteria as set by the CIPD.

Entry requirements

One of the features of the course is the diversity of the student cohort. You may be working in any sector (private, public or not-for-profit) or industry (government, finance, consultancy, private industry). We welcome students from any background or academic discipline.

You will require two years postgraduate work experience and current employment in a HR or HR related role (recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits etc). We will also consider applicants who are working in a management role with responsibilities for staff management.

If you lack the required academic qualifications but meet the work experience requirements above you are also eligible to apply as part of the application process you will be asked to complete a written assessment based on a work-related HR issue which will be assessed by the Course Admissions team.
