Electrical and Electronic Engineering

The course aims to provide knowledge, experience and skills that are essential for research and development work. It is research oriented, with 80 percent of the time spent on a research project and the other 20 percent on taught units. It is designed to develop key research skills, build up in-depth technical knowledge and understanding as well as project management skills, communications skills and presentation skills. Students can choose the project, either as a part of ongoing research work in our research laboratories or in our partner industrial companies.

Entry requirements

For successful application you need an Honours degree minimum of 2.2 award from a UK, EU or International University (Bachelor degree equivalent to UK Second Class Honours Lower Division) or equivalent professional qualification/experience. We welcome equivalent qualifications from around the world. English language qualifications for international students: IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent. If English is not your first language and you do not possess any of the above approved English language qualifications please contact us to supply you with an English language test.

Course modules

Modules: an introduction to education for sustainability; values and participation in efs; from local to global; leadership, learning and climate change: the sustainability revolution; theory and perspectives on environment and development; science and culture in education for sustainability; researching education for sustainability; dissertation (MSc only).
