Internet and Database Systems

This course teaches students to develop bespoke information systems using internet and database technologies, while critically evaluating the technical, security and privacy issues surrounding their deployment and on-going maintenance.

Entry requirements

1st degree (usually at least a 2.2) or a Higher National Diploma in a relevant subject and a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in a relevant field to undertake postgraduate study here we recognise that many people have a wealth of valuable skills and knowledge they've developed at work or through training. If candidates have the potential to succeed in postgraduate or post-experience studies we will consider their application on its individual merit. Applications may be considered where candidates demonstrate a combination of educational qualifications and work experience. IELTS Level 6.5.

Modules include: cloud computing (20 credits); database management (20 credits); mobile applications and security (20 credits); business intelligence analytics (20 credits); data quality assurance (20 credits); research methods; software project management (20 credits); final project (60 credits).
