Health Visiting (Specialist Community Public Health Nursing)
Normally applicants will be required to have a Bachelor degree equivalent to second Class honours upper Division (2.1). Applicants must have sponsorship from an employing organisation that provides a practice placement and practice teacher to fulfil NMC standards.
Modules include: Research methodology and strategy; developing professional practice for health visiting; a public health approach to promoting health and well-being; protecting vulnerable children; mental health and well-being of children and families; developing leadership and management skills for SCPHN. Optional component: Community practitioner nurse prescribing (V100).
