This course equips students with a high level of knowledge and expertise in the care of adults. It will enable students to develop skills and competencies in numerous areas, providing the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings, including general medical and surgical wards, services for the care of elderly people, community placements and specialties, such as working in an A&E department or intensive care unit.
An honours degree minimum 2:2 in a health or science related subject, such as biology, psychology, biomedical engineering or sports science. Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at C or above.
Modules include: Applied biological and pharmacological sciences for nursing; adult nursing and professional practice; public health and well-being; caring for adults with long-term conditions; adult acute and complex care; politics and leadership.
