Children's Nursing

This course will equip students with the knowledge and skills to assess and manage the nursing care needs of children and families, including those with acute and long-term conditions. The course will also develop abilities to consider the wider aspects influencing children's health needs, preparing you for future leadership in a changing and challenging health care system.

Entry requirements

An honours degree minimum 2:2 in a health or science-related subject, such as biology, psychology, early childhood studies or sports science and Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at C or above.

Course modules

Modules include: Applied biological and pharmacological sciences for nursing; children's nursing and professional practice; public health and well-being; child development and common childhood conditions; acute and complex care of children; politics and leadership.
