You will have the opportunity to engage with the very latest Cyber Security principles, practices, tools, and techniques through practical application analysing and evaluating problems and responding to challenges in real time. This programme will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges in Cyber Security faced by industry and society, and will help you to develop the necessary skills to address those challenges in the most effective way. This programme will enable you to build knowledge and develop expertise in network security in cryptography and through action-based learning to provide you with employment skills essential to the Cyber Security industries and related businesses, e-commerce, and governmental organisations.

Entry requirements

Minimum of a lower 2nd Class Honours degree in design or related subjects. English Language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each subtest (reading, listening, writing and speaking) or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Identity, culture and communication; reflection and action; meaning making in design; international project; individual project, dissertation, business plan or placement; collaborative project; media and creative industries (context and practices); media and creative industries (critical perspectives); researching media industries.

Assessment methods

Modules are assessed by a combination of projects base learning, essays, group exercises, presentations and project portfolios. Students are asked to produce project briefs, concept drawings, user scenarios, storyboards, project blogs and multimedia documentation.

Applicants that are shortlisted will be asked to complete a short video interview and the award will be given at the discretion of the Dean, with the support of the Senior Leadership Team. • Excellence Scholarship: This scholarship awards high achieving UK, EU and International students. • Alumni Bursary: The Alumni Bursary offers graduates from Loughborough University 20% towards the full cost of their tuition fees, regardless of their programme or nationality. • 1909 Excellence Award: £1,909 off tuition fees for students who wish to study a programme from the Institute for Digital Technologies, the Institute for Design Innovation or the Institute for Sport Business AND have made a significant contribution to their University during their studies OR have at least two years or relevant, professional work experience OR have a plan to create a new business after graduation.
