Construction Management

This programme is designed for recent graduates from construction and related disciplines and introduces the fundamentals and challenges to contemporary construction management.

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class (2.1) Honours degree in a relevant subject and considered on an individual basis.

Course modules

Semester 1, compulsory modules: ICT for construction projects; research and communication; principles of design and construction; principles of project management; postgraduate research project. Option module (part-time students only): management and professional development 1. Option modules 1, choose 2 from: design management; sustainability in the built environment; management of construction processes; federated 3D building information modelling (BIM). Option modules 2, choose 2 from: strategic management in construction; people and teams; procurement and contract procedure; business economics and finance.

Postgraduate research project.
