Renewable Energy

This programme teaches students about the latest advances in clean power developments. The course enables graduates to design and develop benign renewable energy technologies that can be implemented in countries around the world to reduce our fossil fuel emissions. Core study areas include solar power, wind power, water power, biomass, sustainability and energy systems, subject specialisation at a second university and a major individual research project internship in a renewable energy company.

Entry requirements

Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in any engineering or physical science subject.

Programme modules, core semester: studied at Loughborough university; solar power; wind power; water power; biomass; sustainability and energy systems specialisation; module taken with a European partner university; renewable technology 6 month project undertaken in a company or research centre; project: 6 month project undertaken in a company or research centre.
