Automotive Retail Management
The Certificate, Diploma and MSc in Retail Automotive Management provide a progressive route to meet the needs of Dealer Principals, Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders. The programmes are offered as a bespoke set of courses to individual manufacturers and franchise groups. All programmes revolve around real workplace issues, and learning is put into practice with work-based projects that improve business performance whilst gaining qualifications that can help individuals to further their career.
Entrants to these programmes have managerial experience at an appropriate level. Previous qualifications are not a prerequisite.
Core modules for Certificate and Diploma: introduction to business planning; generating customer loyalty; operations management; foundations of management; finance for managers; decision systems. Optional modules: Certificate students study 3 of these options. Diploma students study 9 of these options: managing business performance; managing quality; management and leadership skills; improving performance through coaching; change management; human resource management; marketing strategy; digital and social media in the retail car market; cross cultural market development. MSc modules: Students progressing from the Diploma study the following modules: strategic dealership management; retail marketing strategy; managing enterprise and innovation; cross cultural and international management; project.
A combination of written assignments and group presentations.
