Marketing (Communications)

This programme has been developed to meet the demand for skilled marketing communications professionals to work within the ever-changing marketing communications industry. The programme is taught by industry professionals and highly experienced tutors, who are able to draw upon their substantial experience in marketing communications, digital communications and brand strategy to bring lectures to life and help direct practical student projects. Completing the programme enhances a student's career prospects, as the emphasis throughout the course is on applying knowledge and developing skills. Students are able to undertake a live client brief project from a real organisation enabling them to develop a marketing communications plan. Entry requirements

Normally a good UK Honours degree (minimum 2.2), or international equivalent, in any subject. We will also consider your application if you have significant, relevant experience or degree equivalent professional qualifications. Students whose 1st language is not English require evidence of proficiency in the English language.

Course modules

Core modules: integrated marketing communications planning and control; strategy and planning for digital and social media communications; international brand strategy; investigating business practice (marketing communications (live client brief); research methods; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessment in each unit takes the form of a combination of coursework and examinations. Coursework comprises both individual assignments and group and project work. Assessment is progressive and takes place at the end of each term.
