Emergency Medicine

Our online course is for qualified doctors and nurses working in emergency care, including those in a military environment or paediatrics. It gives you the opportunity to gain academic recognition for your professional training in urgent or emergency care. Designed entirely by physicians and nurses working in emergency care, all teaching on MSc Emergency Medicine takes place online using a virtual hospital for problem-based learning. This is to help you fit studying around your shifts. You'll access unit resources, including weekly case studies and participate in online discussions with fellow students. We offer a range of core and option units, depending on the route you take, and these are available on a three-year rolling programme. Through these option units, you can focus on areas that fit with your career aspirations, such as Psychosocial Emergencies, Legal Aspects of Emergency Medicine, and Major Incident Management. We offer three routes (postgraduate diploma, postgraduate certificate, and masters) for this course.
