This course provides a direct route into 21st century journalism. Graduates of all disciplines are equipped with knowledge and skills in journalism through intensive practical training and tuition. MA: You will normally have a lower second class UK honours degree (or international equivalent) in any discipline. Applicants whose first language is not English (and whose first degree was not taught in English) are required to produce evidence of English Language proficiency. Overseas applicants will require IELTS with an overall score of 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any category, or an equivalent accepted English qualification.
Modules include: Journalism dissertation; Broadcast skills; Convergence and work placement; Journalism professional practice; Media law; Online journalism.
Assessment will be through written coursework, practical exercises, presentations, a placement and final dissertation.
