Philosophy

Research areas include: 19th and 20th century french philosophy (ravaisson, bergson, sartre, merleau-ponty, levinas, lyotard, derrida, foucault, nancy), aesthetics in both analytic and continental traditions, meta-ethics, critical animal studies, german philosophy from the 17th to 20th century (in particular the philosophies of leibniz, kant, hegel and german idealism, nietzsche, husserl, and heidegger), phenomenology, philosophy of medicine, philosophy of religion, metaphysics, the philosophy of education.
