Our staff offer supervision in the following closely inter-related areas of expertise: literary periods including renaissance writing, eighteenth-century - nineteenth-century literature, 20th century & contemporary fiction & biography, contemporary poetry & experimental writing, creative writing including fiction, poetry, landscape writing, children's writing and script writing. The Manchester Writing School at Manchester Met offers a range of ambitious and flexible programmes of study: write a book on our globally recognised Masters programmes - in Manchester or from anywhere in the world via online distance learning; study specialist subjects on our intensive short courses with accreditation for CPD; undertake a substantial research project with a PhD - all under the guidance of practising authors, critics and industry experts.
