Language Education

This course is for teachers already working in a range of language related fields in primary and secondary education, who wish to develop their expertise in areas such as teaching bilingual learners, English as 1st language and modern foreign languages. Students can choose from PgCert/Dips in Language Education, Teaching Bilingual Learners and Teaching Modern Foreign Languages (MFL), all of which lead to the MA Language Education. The focus of learning is you and your professional development, priorities and interests. We recognise that students in PDP bring often significant (personal and) professional experience and expertise; we encourage you to explore, utilise and develop this in your Masters study with us. From start to finish you can gain a full Masters in two years part-time, but there is flexibility if you want or need to take longer - up to 6 years for full Masters. Most students choose to start at the beginning of the academic year, but starts are also available in February and June on most awards. For information on fees for this course please see our online prospectus information.
