This course offers a flexible and supportive route which is equally capable of accommodating practitioners with a specific thematic focus, and those with a more general (but yet unfocused) interest in postgraduate study. The programme allows a large degree of negotiation in both its substance and content, and the focus of assessment that students produce
Applicants must be in possession of an honours degree and be actively engaged in educational practice.
All students involved in the programme study the same 2 units in their opening 2 years; a core unit (current issues in education in year 1, and critical questions in education in year 2) and a Practice-centred Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning. The course culminates with a final year extended dissertation project.
A mixture of written pieces, presentations and portfolios of work.
