Inclusive Education and Special Educational Needs

This programme provides outstanding professional development for those already working in this sector enabling them to deepen their understanding of how to develop more inclusive practice within their own professional setting or country context.

Entry requirements

Either a good Honours degree in teaching, or other equivalent professional qualification and relevant experience; with evidence of the ability to study successfully at Master's level.

Course modules

Modules include: Understanding inclusive education; research for inclusive education; plus options chosen from; introduction to the autism spectrum; specific learning difficulties (dyslexia): developing inclusive practice; behaviour, emotional and social difficulties: developing inclusive practice; inclusive teaching for bilingual learners.

Assessment methods

Each unit is assessed through a written assignment equivalent to 5,000 words; this may include alternative formats, such as a presentation.
