Leading and Managing in Children�s Services

This professional development programme for middle-senior managers and team leaders already employed in integrated Children's Services, is based on the recommendations and principles outlined in the National Framework for Children's Services. It considers the skills, knowledge and behaviours for leaders and managers described in 'Championing Children'. There is an emphasis on developing leaders and managers as effective and reflective practitioners

Entry requirements

An 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject; or applicants should be professionals working in (or have appropriate experience of) in the area of Children�s Services; employer support required.

Course modules

Modules include: leading and managing in children's services; leading and managing people; leading and managing in children's service; leadership and direction. PgDip units include; leading and managing in children's services; legislation, policies and practice; tutored study. MA includes dissertation.
