Doctor of Research projects are proposal driven and can be informed by practice focused issues. Doctorates are awarded for contributions to knowledge in the chosen discipline or professional field. Study is through regular face-to-face tutorials with a supervisory team who will provide students with feedback on the progress of their research.

Entry requirements

A Master's level qualifications (or equivalent); applicants submit a research proposal and if it can be supervised and supported they are invited for interview.

Course modules

Health and social care policy; some psychology; evidence-based practice, a critical look at research methods; change management; leadership and communication; projects, proposals and practice; development.
