Research areas include: Wearable technologies and augmented reality in the creative industries, The consumer experience in hospitality and tourism, Place management and place governance - the implications for tourism, Sustainability and corporate social responsibility in tourism, Crowd safety in the events sector. Research is aligned to a number of different Research Centres across Manchester Met, whilst in the department there is the Tourism Hospitality and Events research cluster.
