Art and Design (by practice)

Students have regular tutorials with a supervisory team and associate membership of one of the MIRIAD research centres in art, architecture, craft, design, media and visual culture, generic and subject-specific research training is compulsory.

Entry requirements

A Master's level qualifications (or equivalent); applicants submit a research proposal and if it can be supervised and supported they are invited for interview.

Assessment methods

PhD by Practice requires portfolio of work and a critical report of 10,000 - 15,000 words
