Management and Leadership
This programme builds on the knowledge and experience gained in the workplace, as a manager or as an entrepreneur, and updates working practices with the latest management techniques through a series of workshops and project-based assignments. There are 3 core units, all of which are assessed through work-based projects. This is a dual award and in addition to the Certificate in Professional Studies, students also receive a Chartered Management Institute Diploma in Management and are able to apply for individual Chartered Manager status.
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme. It is open to candidates with at least 2 years' managerial or supervisory experience, who can demonstrate appropriate prior learning through business-related experience.
The programme consists of 3 core units: the organisation, information and marketing (20 credits); finance and service operations (20 credits); personal, individual and team development (20 credits).
This programme is assessed by a continuous learning plan and log and a range of work-based projects.
