Manchester Metropolitan University

Strategic Leadership and Change

***Manchester Metropolitan University is currently undertaking a review of long-term academic provision on the Cheshire campus. The review will look at how we might re-focus the types of courses offered at Cheshire in the context of the wider University provision. A range of options is currently being considered. We can confirm that we are taking and processing applications for full time postgraduate courses and any part time courses of one year duration starting in 2017 on the Cheshire Campus. However, with regard to longer part time postgraduate courses, due to the ongoing review, the University will accept applications for courses delivered at Cheshire but will not process those applications until more is known in respect of the future of the campus.*** This programme is taught through a blended learning approach consisting of full day and half day workshop sessions and work-based learning activities to assist with time management. With both private and public sector organisations facing change on an unprecedented scale, the commercial environment has become turbulent and complex. It is now more important than ever for organisations to be flexible and adaptable to respond effectively to the key challenges of globalisation, increasingly sophisticated customer bases and advances in technology - all factors that place even greater emphasis on strong leadership. This programme will be ideal for you, if you are working within management. It provides you with a strong understanding of the nature of effective leadership and change by encouraging you to draw on your own experiences. The benefit of using real observations is that it will help you develop solutions of practical significance. By studying this internationally recognised award, you will develop a keen awareness of the most up-to-date management thinking and practice.
