International Business Management

Students on this course examine the theories that inform contemporary international business practice. The programme focuses on management and organisational activities in business environments and management of products and services in international markets.

Entry requirements

For the MA International Business Management we welcome applications from graduates with a good Honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in an appropriate subject. The 15 month MA International Business Management degree is aimed at students who do not meet the above entry requirement for the course. We also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications and individuals with a minimum of 3 years' work experience. Those without formal qualifications need to demonstrate relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level. International Entry Requirements: We accept the equivalent of the above from a recognised overseas qualification. English language requirements: Competence in English language and we normally require grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all 4 components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening & writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).

Course modules

International and cross-cultural marketing; international business management; international human resource management; international strategic human resource management (HRM); MA dissertation; marketing strategy for managers; quantitative analysis for managers.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include individual and group coursework, presentations, examinations and a dissertation.
