A fashion based degree with a grade of 2.1 or higher. Where a candidate does not possess a degree, knowledge and relevant business experience in the field of fashion. Applicants should have competence in English language and grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all 4 components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening and writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).
Modules include: Developing practice; critical debates; body and space; advanced research; major project.
Assessment is determined by students' specific programme outcomes (fashion design, fashion communication and promotion, fashion textiles, jewellery and accessories) and established or emerging special interests, but is in all cases supported by a common series of lectures and seminars examining research methodologies, case studies of successful research work, thematic and contextual issues.
