Acupuncture (Professional Practice)

This course provides a great opportunity to those who are already in the healthcare sector (e.g. GPs, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, midwives, nurses etc), or who already possess a Bachelor degree, to study acupuncture. This programme is designed around and follows the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) Standards of Education and Training for Acupuncture (SETA). We are currently seeking course accreditation by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board. Subject to BAAB approval, graduates will be automatically eligible to apply for full membership of the British Acupuncture Council, the UKs largest body of professional acupuncturists. Based on each individuals current career, professional knowledge and previous training, we tailor the study in a way that best suits the student's needs, whilst ensuring attainment of the BAcCs requirements of producing graduates who are competent, safe and caring practitioners in acupuncture practice. Therefore, the duration of each individuals training is varied and flexible, as it may be possible to offer exemptions from some aspects of study based on previous learning.
