Research strengths are focused in a number of groups or themes: human resource management, work and employment; marketing, operations and systems; strategy, organisations and society.
2.1 Honours degree in relevant subject or international equivalent; a Master�s degree or equivalent is also normally expected. In addition to the academic qualifications, relevant work experience; applicants without a Master�s degree should complete the MA in management and business studies (research) before continuing onto the PhD track. Candidates possessing a Master�s degree that is not recognised by the ESRC as research master, should complete a PG certificate in research methods in their 1st year of the programme; applicants whose 1st language is not English are required to hold IELTS 7.0 or equivalent, with a minimum of 6.5 in written English, 6.5 in speaking, with no less than 6.0 in any element.
