This course aims to provide a firm foundation in the requirements to pursue a career in this specialist field. Students gain knowledge, conceptual, analytical and practical skills. Throughout the course students are encouraged to apply knowledge and skills to practical problems and situations.Students gain an understanding of: the principal internal and external environment contexts of contemporary organisations; key human resource (HR) functions; major contemporary research evidence on employment; effective approaches to HR learning and development practice; perspectives and debates on employment relations.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree or international equivalent. Applicants with lower or non-standard qualifications who have at least 2 years of relevant industry experience will be considered. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with minimum of 6.0 in all sub-sections) or equivalent.
