This programme involves the production of new knowledge through original research and advanced scholarship, exploring a field of marketing in detail. PhD research should produce a thesis which includes material worthy of academic publication. Specific areas of research expertise include: consumer behaviour; service marketing; retail marketing; sustainability marketing; international marketing; marketing communications; marketing in the creative industries; internet and direct marketing; marketing strategy.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree and preferably a merit Master's degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 (with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and speaking and a minimum 6.0 in all other sub-sections) or equivalent.
