Management and Business Studies
Through the course students will develop a thorough grounding in theory, approaches, research methods and associated ethics in the social sciences generally and in management and business studies in particular, skills in the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative research data as well as an understanding of cutting edge research across the social sciences, and the ability to reconcile different research approaches and analyse data in a wide variety of formats, both qualitative and quantitative.
A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in any discipline; we will also consider applicants on an individual basis with relevant professional experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and 6.0 in all other sub-sections), or equivalent.
This programme is recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) under its 1+3 system (Master�s plus PhD) for funding postgraduate studies.
