Employee Relations

This new Employee Relations course is innovative in the way it has been designed by industry and flexible in the way it is delivered part time. Focusing on employment relationships, students learn how to develop and enhance employability and contributions to the workplace. The course has been designed and developed with large employers and unions who are members of the Employee Relations Institute. The course offers a unique educational opportunity for anyone concerned with the development of effective workplace relations in their workplace. The course is very flexible and is delivered via block learning in a combination of conferences, action learning workshops, distance learning projects and guided self-study.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree, although applicants are not expected to have a 1st degree or prior experience of studying at university. Experience in a working role directly involved in the employment relationship is essential. Entry is through the Postgraduate Certificate only. Candidates need at least 5 years' work experience, including at least 1 year of working in a supervisory, managerial or employee representative role. Applicants whose 1st language is not English need an overall IELTS score of 7.0.
