Planning and Environment Research

This course provides strong research training. Students develop their research skills and receive professional accreditation. It will suit those looking to specialise in environmental or landscape planning research. The course prepares students for a PhD in the field of environmental or landscape planning. It also equips them with the knowledge, skills and understanding to pursue a research career. The research skills that you will develop are relevant to a variety of organisations in the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree, or an international equivalent, in a relevant subject area such as planning, landscape, environmental science, environmental management, geography or architecture. Application are considered on an individual basis with a 2.2 Honours degree if applicants have a Master's level qualification or significant relevant experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-sections) or equivalent.
