Planning for Sustainability and Climate Change

This course prepares planners with specialised knowledge in sustainability and climate change issues. It provides the planning knowledge, understanding and viewpoints required for Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) accreditation, plus a specialised understanding of planning for climate change issues. This course offers a career path for students with first degrees in environment or engineering to move into town planning. There is still need in this area, particularly for planners with the knowledge and skills to act on climate change issues. The course's relationship to the planning profession mean that the School is seen as a leading provider of planning education.

Entry requirements

A 2.2 Honours degree, or international equivalent to a 2.1 Honours degree, in a related discipline such as agriculture, environmental sciences, engineering, or social sciences. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in writing) or equivalent.
