The programme enables students to establish or extend their position in the art world. Distinguished artists and historians will nurture practical, professional and intellectual skills. Students also develop their critical understanding of the discourses relevant to their work. The course is designed for fine art graduates and for those with other backgrounds who wish to establish or extend their position as practitioners in the contemporary art world. It also offers a solid grounding for those hoping to progress to PhD degree study. Practice and research is supported in: painting; sculpture; digital media; drawing; performance; photography; printmaking; installation; video art; art history.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree in fine art, or international equivalent, plus a portfolio of recent work; portfolios must be submitted electronically either by uploading it with your application form or by providing a link to where the portfolio can be viewed online; UK based applicants may be invited to attend an interview; Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
