This course aims to help students achieve a critical conceptual understanding of practice, thought, evidence and theory relating to recent developments in applied linguistics. The expertise of staff is used in a number of research centres within the University, such as: Centre for Learning and Teaching (CfLaT); iLAB:learn; Centre for Research in Linguistics and Language Sciences (CRiLLS).

Entry requirements

A 2.1 honours degree and a master's degree with at least 60%, or international equivalent, in a related subject. Applicants whose first language is not English need an overall IELTS score of 7.0 (with at least 6.5 in writing and 6.0 in all other sub-skills).
