Translation Studies

Supervision is offered in the following areas: history of translation; interpreting; psycholinguistics of interpreting and translating; translating literature; translation and culture; translation and ethics/ideology/power; translation products, processes and strategies; translator and interpreter training, development and assessment. Supervision can be offered for projects involving English plus Catalan, Chinese, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Quechua and Spanish, and Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English must hold IELTS 7.0 (with a minimum of 6.5 in written English and 6.0 in all other sub skills) or equivalent.
