Education: International Perspectives (Teaching and Learning)

This course aims to help you achieve a critically reflective and practical understanding of pedagogy in its broadest sense and all aspects of learning. It is for professionals involved in teaching and learning at all sectors of education (primary, nursery, secondary, tertiary and higher education) who are keen to develop their careers. The majority of taught modules are offered in the 1st semester, including some sessions which are run in the early evening and on Saturdays. During the year there is a development to a greater element of self-study and semi-independent research and project work. You complete the course with a research project focusing on a topic of interest to you.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in any subject. Experience in an educational context is desirable but not essential. Applicants whose 1st language is not English must have a minimum of IELTS 6.5 (with 6.5 in writing and 6.0 in all other sub-sections), or equivalent.
