English Language and Linguistics

The English Language and/or Linguistics MLitt is a Master's level degree that is largely based around students' own research interests, preparing them for further research within and beyond academia. Students will be fully supported by experts situated in one of the largest centres for linguistics research in Europe. Supervision is offered in the following areas: linguistic theory; language variation and change; language evolution, acquisition, and development.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree or international equivalent. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.
