Human Geography Research

This programme provides advanced-level training in research skills, methods and theories so students can pursue a career in research. The course equips students with the knowledge and research skills needed to develop as a human geography researcher. Key areas of research in human geography include: social and cultural geography; economic geographies; international development; geopolitics.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant arts, humanities or social science subject, such as geography, planning, urban studies, environmental studies, sociology, politics or business studies. Applicants with lower or non-standard qualifications who have relevant industry experience will be considered. Applicants currently living in the UK may be invited to an interview. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
